The state of Chihuahua has a wide variety of unique landscapes in the country, such as the one offered by the Samalayuca Dunes in the municipality of Juárez, one of the most impressive desert areas in all of Mexico and the best place to see the stars.

It is located 50 kilometers south of the border and its mounds of fine silica sand are considered the highest in the country, suitable for sports activities such as sandboarding, ATV tours and 4x4 vehicles.

Las Dunas is one of the five tourist spots in Chihuahua, which were included in the nominations for the Best of Mexico awards, from México Desconocido magazine.

And in addition to sports activities, it is the right place to contemplate the stars, petroglyphs that are more than 1,500 years old, and some of the 154 species of animals that live in this ecosystem.

Due to the weather conditions that prevail in the region, it is ideal to visit the area during autumn or winter, since in summer temperatures can exceed 45 degrees Celsius.

These natural beauties are located relatively close to Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. So the recommendation is to travel to this border city and stay here.
