"The Desierto de los Leones National Park (Parque Nacional Desierto de los Leones) is a forested national park located in the mountainous west of Mexico City, making it a major ecological reserve for the city. Established in 1917, it is Mexico's oldest national park. The park also contains the historic Desierto de los Leones Monastery, a former 17th-century Carmelite convent devoted to retreat and meditation, which is now a museum and architectural site."
