Located in northern Chile, near the city of Copiapó (Atacama region), the area is one of the largest dune fields in the country, with an area of ​​335 square kilometers. Research indicates that these dunes were caused by the strong winds that accumulated over the last thousands of years, causing these large amounts of sand to organize themselves and form a unique spectacle.
